Back in December we revealed Our New Look, showing off all the hard-work and renovations we’ve completed inside the Interiors by The Sewing Room showroom!

Last week, on February 17th, 2015, we had a Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the Quad Cities Chamber to celebrate a lot of recent accomplishments!

We celebrated all of the updates to the interior, the success of the change in ownership when Michelle & Bob Blunk purchased The Sewing Room in 2013 from Walt & Claretta McArtor who started the business in 1984, and the reveal of our plans for the new store front exterior renovation that we’ll be completing this year!

Before we get to the reveal of our store front renovations, here are a few photos from the ribbon cutting, and introductions to some of the members of our team!

Michelle Blunk - Interiors by The Sewing RoomMichelle Blunk – Owner and Interior Designer at Interiors by The Sewing Room andConceptual Designs, Inc.

Jean & Bobbie Mae - Interiors by The Sewing RoomThis is Jean and Bobbie Mae.  They are our talented seamstresses who are ready to make all of your custom window coverings and linens in our very own workroom!  You may remember our interview with Bobbie Mae where we got to know her a little better in December!

Debbie is not only the office manager at Interiors by The Sewing Room, she’s also Michelle’s mom!  Moms are always so great at stepping in and helping their kids with every venture they take on, and as Michelle so wonderfully said at the ribbon cutting, Debbie is no different, she’s really helped Michelle achieve all her success with Interiors by The Sewing Room.

Interiors by The Sewing RoomAll together now, along with the Conceptual Designs, Inc. commercial designers Sara (and son Nathan), Liz, Angie (hiding behind Jean), Jean, Bobbie Mae, Dorothy and Debbie!  They can help you with anything from selecting the perfect paint color, to designing your draperies to putting together a whole house design in your style and budget!
